Very rarely do I have the opportunity to meet a genius in the making. Recently, I met a young woman named Fay Ann Lee. Actually, I was introduced to her via an independent film maker blog here in Phoenix. As it turns out, she was recently in town promoting her new film, Falling For Grace.

Wit hout going into too much detail, I saw the film and was amazed that she wrote, produced and directed her own movie. I loved the fact that she shot the movie in New York with actors who knew the New York scene. She showed imagination and cleverness with her characters through comedy, intelligence and charm.

H er writing style is top notch and frankly I was surprised to find out that this was her directorial debut. In fact, I was further amazed that she hung around the theatre, ran Q&A sessions, listened to audience feedback and actually cared what the public thought about her film.

As a result, I was able to spend some time with her at Fashion Square Mall and discovered that she has a clear vision on what she wants to do with her up-and-coming movie career.

The one thing I can do to help her with her career is to encourage all of my Phoenix/Scottsd ale readers to see her film this weekend at the Camelview near Fashion Square Mall. I promise that you will be entertained and leave the theatre with the wisdom that a young actor/writer/di rector from New York was able to touch your life like a butterfly landing on your fingertip.
